The new school is one of three facilities forming an educational campus with shared sports pitches. The school is designed to cater for 1,000 pupils and was delivered by means of Design & Build contract.

Leading Edge Project Directors were appointed by Kildare Vocational Education Committee to provide advice for the disposal of their Town Centre Site and the provision of Project Management Services for the new Education Campus at Pipers Hill. The new Campus was built at an overall cost of € 40 million, it was the largest construction project ever undertaken by County Kildare VEC.

The twenty acre site is home to Pipers Hill College, Pipers Hill Community National School, Gaelscoil Nás na Ríogh and Irish Vocational Education Authority, now known as the Education and Training Boards Ireland

Leading Edge Project Directors provided advice for the Site Disposal, Site Acquisition for the new Campus site and Procurement Advice in respect of Design Team and the Main Contractor. Leading Edge supervised the development of the Master Planning, performance of the Design Team & Main Contractor. It also had overall responsibility for Cost Control and Quality Control to ensure compliance with department guidelines.

In 2009, Co. Monaghan Vocational Education Committee commenced the redevelopment of the former Military Barracks site, to consist of a Multi-user Education Campus incorporating Gaelscoil Ultain Primary School, Coláiste Oiriall Post-Primary School, Monaghan Institute of Further Education, a Sports Hall and the Garage Theatre.

 Co. Monaghan VEC was the first VEC to formally receive sanction from the Department of Education and Skills to manage a project of this scale on a “devolved basis”.

Now completed the Campus consists of five buildings and associated playing pitches on a 20 acre site adjacent to the Black Water valley.

Leading Edge Project Directors were appointed to Project Manage this devolved project on behalf of Co. Monaghan VEC. Leading Edge acted as Employers Representative and managed the procurement process for the appointment of a Single Point Design Team and the Main Contractor.
